Hello,
the attachment has to be unpacked in the INSTALL directory. It creates
its own subdirectory "auto/".
To create thread-save and fast versions of slamch.f and dlamch.f
according to the actual machine, change to this directory and type
"make". Copy the generated files ?lamch.f back to INSTALL/ and run
testslamch and testdlamch. The results should be the same.
The original files are stored as auto/slamch_probe.f and
auto/dlamch_probe.f.
This was successfully tested by me on Cray/UNICOS, IBM/AIX,
SiliconGraphics/IRIX and PC/Linux.
Perhaps it's helpful.
With regards
Ingo
