There is and has been no encryption used in the LAPACK software. The
source code is provided from the netlib server: www.netlib.org/lapack/.

Hi Julie,
Thanks for this answer. Could you please just confirm that no encryption
has been included within this software? The reason why I am asking is
because this could impact our software classification even if yours is
not controlled on his own.
Thanks again for your support. This is highly appreciated.

Damien,

Not really sure what you want form us but here is the licensing info about
the LAPACK library. I read the document you pointed us to and I do not
think any of that applied to our software.
.
LAPACK is a freely-available software package. It is available from netlib
via anonymous ftp and the World Wide Web athttp://www.netlib.org/lapack?.
Thus, it can be included in commercial software packages (and has been). We
only ask that proper credit be given to the authors.
Like all software, it is copyrighted. It is not trademarked, but we do ask
the following:
If you modify the source for these routines we ask that you change the name
of the routine and comment the changes made to the original.
LAPACK has a BSD like license, see
http://www.opensource.org/licenses/bsd-license.php
?
Hope this helps,
Julie Langou

Dear Sir, Madam,

As a licensee of your product?LAPACK routines,?we need to confirm its ECCN
(Export Control Classification Number] to assess the export requirement
associated with it. We are especially interested in assessing whether your
product contains encryption controlled under the United States EAR (Export
Administration Regulation). If you are not familiar with the EAR, you can
find out more information at?http://www.bis.doc.gov/.
?
Specific information concerning the export classification of software
containing encryption can be found in Parts 740.17, 742.15 and 774 Supp. 1
Category 5 part 2 (information security) of Title 15 of the Code of Federal
Regulations (http://www.access.gpo.gov/bis/ear/ear_data.html). If your
product has been the subject of a classification review, please provide also
the CCATS number. In the case there is encryption in your product,
please confirm the key strength.

Waiting to hearing from you, thanks for your support,
