[Lapack] problems with lapack

Hi

May I suggest you try something like:

f77 eigen.f /_PATH_TO_LAPACK_DIR/lapack_LINUX.a
/_PATH_TO_LAPACK_DIR/blas_LINUX.a

Dear Sir Madame,

I tried to install LAPACK on my laptop (Acer Extensa 3000).
I use suse linux 9 professional.
Because my computer and the operating system
are old, I used an old version of Lapack from Mai 31, 2000.
After unpacking the Lapack I typed
cp INSTALL/make.inc.LINUX make.inc.
Then make blaslib and after make lapacklib.
Two files were generated: blas_LINUX.a
and lapack_LINUX.a
When I Type f77 eigen.f -llapack where eigen.f
contains calls to Lapack routines I become the following
error:
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i586-suse-linux/3.3.1/../../../../i586-suse-linux/bin/ld:
cannot find -llapack
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

please tell me what to do

Nikolaos
