C version?

Hi,

I have been trying to use LAPACK many times and I failed every time unfortunately.

Is there a C version of BLAS(not C interface to the BLAS)? I mean I have a Microsoft Visual Studion project and I want to include some of routines in my project or my file without calling the F77 functions.

thanks very much,

Hi, Newpie.

Is it the LAPACK routines specifically that you want, or their functionality?
If just their functionality, what are you trying to do (solve linear equations; calculate the eigenvalues of real, symmetric matrixes, etc)?

If you are just interested in their functionality, please see the thread I started, “C Code for Some Applications Available”.

Note that the FORTRAN code I translated comes from the older packages (LINPACK, EISPACK, etc.); I simply find their code a lot easier to understand than the LAPACK routines.

You could try the ATLAS BLAS from:

http://math-atlas.sourceforge.net/

There are some pre-built libraries as well as instructions on how to build your own.

Best wishes,
