scalapack for matrices 10^4*10^4

Dear all,
I am newbie in scalapack. I would like to perform calculations with matrices 10^4*10^4. How can I manage these enormous matrices with the Block 2d cyclic Data Distribution? Can anyone suggest me any reference, please?
