Using Clapack with dev-cpp

Postby FredtheChemist » Fri Oct 15, 2010 10:54 am

Hello,

I am writting a program for my physical chemistry research and it would need to diagonalize a general complex matrix to yield both the eigenvalues and eigenvectors. I have downloaded the precompiled Clapack folder from the website (CLAPACK-3.1.1-VisualStudio.zip) and linked the libraries as I had done in dev-cpp for the gnu scientific library (gsl). I was trying it out on the test program from the clapack FAQ page (1.9) (Can I see an example program calling CLAPACK?) but it does not work. I get the following error message " [Linker error] undefined reference to `dgesvd_(char*, char*, long*, long*, double*, long*, double*, double*, long*, double*, long*, double*, long*, long*)' "

Do you guys have any idea how to get this fixed.

I had linked the BLAS.lib, cblaswrap.lib, clapack.lib, f77blaswrap.lib, libf2c.lib and tmglib.lib libraries from the Win32 directory and added the include and library directories from Clapack to the project. The source code was typed as is.
