Interpreting LAPACK test output

Hi,

First, an apology. Interpreting LAPACK test output seems to be a thorny issue, but some of the reference material (e.g. the Machine-Specific Installation Hints referred to in the FAQ) no longer appears to be accessible (dead link).

I'm trying to get a copy of LAPACK built against ATLAS 3.8.3 and GCC 4.1.2 on RHEL5 64-bit, and am unsure what test errors are bad. The method I'm currently using is:

1) grep for 'failed to pass'.
2) grep for ' result ' to obtain the results of test failures
3) Take (2) and remove any result that is a small number (where small is defined as a number not in scientific notation).

This leaves me 68 errors in dgd.out. I suspect I can invoke lawn87 (although I don't understand it) and ignore these "DXV drivers" errors.

Am I right and is this the correct way to analyse the errors?
