Hi Julie,

I got this link from "Nmake Install' page.

Are libraries posted on above page and on 'Prebuilt libraries' page are same as ???

Do you think that pre-built libraries on Windows platform would work fine with OpenMPI (as against mentioned in Requirement section: Visual Studio, Microsoft MPI, Intel and C Fortran compiler)???

Thank you in advance.

I am not sure.
Could you tell me how did you build Open MPI under Windows?

So the link is http://icl.cs.utk.edu/lapack-for-window ... _WIN32.lib

Hi Julie,

I am using pre-built OpenMPI from http://www.open-mpi.org/software/ompi/v1.5/
And also built the same using Visual Studio 2008 and Intel Fortran compiler.

Please comment on...

Hi Julie,

I am now getting folloing error, on Windows platform, when executing "mpirun blacs_hello_example.exe" (reference: http://www.netlib.org/blacs/BLACS/Examples.html#HELLO)

cmd_promt> mpirun blacs_hello_example.exe
calling blacs_pinfo()...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
mpirun.exe has exited due to process rank 0 with PID 528 on node vibgyor exiting improperly. There are two reasons this could occur:

1. this process did not call "init" before exiting, but others in the job did. This can cause a job to hang indefinitely while it waits for all processes to call "init". By rule, if one process calls "init", then ALL processes must call "init" prior to termination.

2. this process called "init", but exited without calling "finalize". By rule, all processes that call "init" MUST call "finalize" prior to exiting or it will be considered an "abnormal termination"

This may have caused other processes in the application to be terminated by signals sent by mpirun.exe (as reported here).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any idea on this?

Thank you.
