Eigenvalues and eigenvectors of Complex Symmetric matrix

Hi all,

I am new to LAPACK. I am doing some calculations which require diagonalisation and eigenvectors of Complex symmetric Matrix (1024X1024). Till now I was using CG.F subroutine of EISPACK. I want to know whether any new and more subroutines also available?

LAPACK has routines to compute eigenvalues and eigenvectors for complex general matrices. This routine is named ZGEEV for COMPLEX*16 (CGEEV for COMPLEX*8), you can use it in your case.

In LAPACK as in EISPACK, there is no routine specifically dedicated for the complex symmetric eigenvalue problem, you need to go with the general case to handle your matrix.

And yes the routine ZGEEV from LAPACK-3.0 is newer and faster than CG.f from EISPACK. It is wise to switch from EISPACK to LAPACK.
