Unhandled exception while calling dgemm_

Postby wwnigel » Wed Nov 02, 2011 1:20 am

I use dgemm_ in a simple example in visual studio as below, but it return the following error. I even don't know how to debug this kind of error..
Did anyone else meet this error while using dgemm_? Is there any suggestion on solving this problem? thanks.

Unhandled exception at 0x012c93aa in *****.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000002.

Code: Select all
   int M, N, K, lda, ldb, ldc;
   M = N = K = 2;
   lda = ldb = ldc = 2;
   char transa = 'N';
   char transb = 'N';
   double alpha = 1.0;
   double beta = 0.0;
   double aa[4] = {1,2,3,4};
   double bb[4] = {1,1,1,1};
   double cc[4];
   dgemm_ (&transa,
      &transb,
      (integer*) &M,
      (integer*) &N,
      (integer*) &K,
      &alpha,
      aa,
      (integer*)lda,
      bb,
      (integer*)ldb,
      &beta,
      cc,
      (integer*)ldc );

This is to few information to find out the problem.
What kind of BLAS are you using, do you have a 64bit
system? How is dgemm() declared? What error message
do you get by calling:

dgemm_(transa,transb,M,N,K,alpha,aa,lda,bb,ldb,beta,cc,ldc);

?
