On 2011/11/16 I downloaded lapack-3.4.0.tgz and did a sha1sum; a141a19bebbef2a20d35a26eb9c120b1de747b38
Today I was at a different machine and downloaded it again but its sha1 is different; 910109a931524f8dcc2734ce23fe927b00ca199f
Was there an intentional change?

Yes could be.
On Nov 16th, the tgz has been regenerated because an internal file had to be modified.

Ok thanks. It always concerns me when sha1's change when the versions do not.
