LAPACK and BLAS guides

Postby mgates17 » Thu Mar 06, 2008 5:02 pm

I've compiled several quick reference guides for LAPACK and BLAS, available from:

http://www.ews.uiuc.edu/~mrgates2/docs/

In particular I've tried to make them more readable and electronically searchable than existing guides. The BLAS ones are more developed than the LAPACK ones.

The LAPACK routines list is similar to the one at
http://www.netlib.org/lapack/explore-html/
but organized by task and with a note about what each routine does.

Hi Mark,

I need to calculate pseudo inverse matrix.
How can I figure out which function to use?
I googled it and it looks like other people use sgelss

2. compute pseudo inverse
LDWORK = WORK[0];
delete [] WORK;
WORK = new float[LDWORK];
res = sgelss_( &m, &n, &NRHS, &matrix[0][0], &LDA, B, &LDB, SING, &RCOND, &IRANK, WORK, &LDWORK, &info);

But when I looked at sgelss documentation it says
SGELSS computes the minimum norm solution to a real linear least squares problem

Thank you,
Ula
