Error when excuting a code on a 64 bit machine

Dear all,

when I compile my code including lapack routines on a 64 bit machine, I got the following message:

/home/lapack-3.1.1/lapack_LINUX.a: could not read symbols: File in wrong format
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

would you please helping me with this problem?
