An update for lapack is now available for Red Hat Enterprise

Postby vivekverma » Tue Sep 26, 2017 2:42 pm

The linear algebra package (LAPACK) is a standard library for numerical linear algebra. The library provides routines for solving systems of simultaneous linear equations, least-squares solutions of linear systems of equations, eigenvalue problems, and singular value problems. Associated matrix factorizations (LU, Cholesky, QR, SVD, Schur, and generalized Schur) and related computations, such as reordering of Schur factorizations and estimating condition numbers, are included. The LAPACK library can handle dense and banded matrices, but not general sparse matrices. Similar functionality is provided for real and complex matrices in both single and double precision.

For detailed information on changes in this release, see the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.9 Release Notes and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.9 Technical Notes linked from the References section.

Users of lapack are advised to upgrade to these updated packages.
