We started looking into using GPUs for linear algebra with the introduction of CUDA in 2007. First publications appeared at the beginning of 2008, and we used the name MAGMA with the first release on August 4, 2009.

All precisions are supported now. You can remove/ignore those print statements. Thanks for pointing it out. We will have clMAGMA 1.0 release on October 24, and this will be fixed.
