Re: Wrong with my codes according to sgemv

Hi mark. I get the problem as said in last post. the norm of x should be one. Do I use lapackf77_slange wrongly? And I meet similar problem which I get the value from GPU. Next I run the test file, and find that all function goes correctly. I know there must be some problems in my codes, but I have ...

Re: Wrong with my codes according to sgemv

Hi, mark. First, I decide to solve Ax = b, and use Jacobi iteration, which is x = M*x + g. You must already know. And you know the sgemv does y = alpha*A*x + beta*y, and then this will change my g. Thus I have to do getvector followed by setvector, which is the second. The first point in my code is ...

Wrong with my codes according to sgemv

Hi.I attampt to compile Jacobi iteration by magma. However, I meet some problems.First, I want to know whether magma has given some method to solve Ax = b. Next, according to the testing in magma, I write codes to solve Ax = b. The result is not correct, and then I use gdb to debug my codes. I find ...

Re: How to do A*B and A*x only

Is the only way is to set beta 0? By lapack, when setting beta 0, it won't computing the rest.

How to do A*B and A*x only

Hi!
I am trying to use Jacobi iteration on magma. And I know the functions(sgemv and sgemm), but it must be A*B + C and A*X + y, which do something unnecessary. Does the lapack or magma fix this problem, or if I put zero in C or y, it will not be computed?

Thanks for answering.

Question about checkres in testing_sgehrd

Hello. Today, I run the file testing_sgehrd. I find some question with it. First, the result does not show the error. Following is the result: ./testing_sgehrd -N 6000 MAGMA 1.3.0 device 0: GeForce 405, 1402.0 MHz clock, 511.6 MB memory, capability 1.2 testing_sgehrd -N 6000 N CPU GFlop/s GPU GFlop/...

Re: Install MAGMA on ubuntu 11.10 32bit with MKL

Oh, I get. I just try to revise the cpp code in testing_sgemv, using magma_int_t iend = 5000; instead of magma_int_t iend = 10240; Then I type what the makefile does to complie the cpp and link it. Luckily, I get the answer. In all, Without your help, I might not find the problem now. Thanks a lot!

Re: Install MAGMA on ubuntu 11.10 32bit with MKL

Thanks, now when I type ./testing_cgeadd -N 100 -N 200 -N 1000 I happily see the result. ./testing_cgeadd -N 100 -N 200 -N 1000 MAGMA 1.3.0 device 0: GeForce 405, 1402.0 MHz clock, 511.6 MB memory, capability 1.2 Usage: ./testing_cgeadd -N <m,n> -c -c2 -l -N can be repeated up to 10 times. If only m...
