Re: Question on BiCGStab Solver

I guess you have already figured out, but in case: the lines where the solver is exited due to non-SPD ness. Basically, the complete SPD check can be removed.

Re: Question on BiCGStab Solver

Sorry- this bug is resolved in the next release. Please just comment out the respective lines in the source file. Thanks!

Re: Timing the code

Yes, this should work. But to be really sure you may want to use the NULL stream, to sync all streams:

real_Double_t tempo1 = magma_sync_wtime( NULL );

/*
code needs to be timed
*/

real_Double_t tempo2 = magma_sync_wtime( NULL );
double time=(double) tempo2-tempo1;
std::cout<<time<<std::endl;

Re: Running tests fail and visual studio configuration

the matrix rdist3a.mtx contains zeros on the diagonal - Jacobi or block-asynchronous iteration will not work for this! However, I apologize for the code crashing, I will fix it to have a appropriate error message.
Thanks, Hartwig

Re: Running tests fail and visual studio configuration

1. No, BiCGSTAB does not require the linear system to be SPD. 2. run ./testing_dsolver --solver 5 --precond 1 --verbose 10 --maxiter 1000 LAPLACE2D 100 ( Jacobi-preconditioned BiCGSTAB on a 2D Laplace with problem size 10000) the output should look like: ./testing_dsolver --solver 5 --precond 1 --ve...

Re: Running tests fail and visual studio configuration

I ran the tests in the ubuntu framework (also mac) using gcc and icc compiler.

Are any routines working in your environment?

Re: Running tests fail and visual studio configuration

Sorry, I can not help. My output is:

./testing_dbug
# Reading sparse matrix from file (smallMat.mtx): done
A.num_rows=5
A.num_cols=5
A.num_nnz=8

that looks fine to me.

Re: Running tests fail and visual studio configuration

I can not reproduce this error on a linux system. Seems to be a windows-specific bug. I will look into it at some point.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Re: Running tests fail and visual studio configuration

Check the Makefile - all routines not in the makefile should be disregarded.

Sorry for the inconvenience!
