Re: Compiling MAGMA sparse

Hello again, after I updated from Magma 1.5 to 1.6, i got a similar Bug by calling "make shared": control/magma_dvpass_gpu.o: In function `magma_vget_gpu': magma_dvpass_gpu.cpp:(.text+0x20): multiple definition of `magma_vget_gpu' control/magma_cvpass_gpu.o:magma_cvpass_gpu.cpp:(.text+0x20): first d...

Re: linear solver sgmres very slow

Hi Hartwig,
this System was only for Debugging and functional Test. We have a System: A = 400x400 and B = 400x10 Elements. So I hope that the MAGMA-Library will speed it up a little bit. But thank you for your Answer, hence we will test all with direct LU too. We will see :)

Re: linear solver sgmres very slow

Ok I've found my failure:

Code: Select all

solverPar.epsilon = 10e-16;
It's a little bit to small. I've used the following:

Code: Select all

solverPar.epsilon = 10e-8;

linear solver sgmres very slow

Hi @ all, I've tested the solver sgmres with two sparse matrices A and B. A is 24 x 24 and B is 24 x 3. My implementation see below. The whole algorithm needs more than 30 seconds for this small matrices. For the matrix with one column it needs about 12 seconds. Can somebody tell me, please, why it'...

Re: Bugs in magma_<t>cuspmm (magma 1.6)

no problem Hartwig :) and you needn't to apologize. It's a little bit normal for an academic projects. And it's good that you're going on to develop :)

Bugs in magma_<t>cuspmm (magma 1.6)

Hi @ all, i've used the function named in the topic (magma_<t>cuspmm - magma/sparse-iter/src/magma_scuspmm.cpp). And i think there is a little Bug (look at the numbers of rows and cols from A and B): Line 124: cusparseXcsrgemmNnz(handle, CUSPARSE_OPERATION_NON_TRANSPOSE, CUSPARSE_OPERATION_NON_TRANS...

Re: magma sparse vector

I think you may missunderstood me. How can I distinguish for example the vector [1 0 0 0] from [0 1 0 0]. Shouldn't there be a second vector with the columnpointers? Or store i all values inclusive the zeros in the vector val

magma sparse vector

Hello @ all, afteri used the sparse algorithms from magmasome time, i get stucked with the folowing struct: typedef struct magma_s_vector{ magma_location_t memory_location; magma_int_t num_rows; magma_int_t nnz; float *val; }magma_s_vector; Shouldn't there be an information in the struct where are t...

Bug in magma_scuspmm

Hello @ all, i use the sparse matrix multiplication in Magma. Yesterday I implemented a case for that: A*B = C. I multiply 2 matrices A and B. A has 24 rows and columns. B has 24 rows and 3 columns. I wondered when i realized that C is 24 x 24. So i looked in the code from magma_scuspmm and found in...
