Re: LU Decomposition and associated documentation in MAGMA?

Hi, the LU decomposition is in the file src/[zcds]getrf.c zgemv_MLU.c, as said by its name, is a variant of the GEneral Matrix-Vector mutiplication routines. You can find description of names by searching "blas refcard" in google/bing/... for BLAS functions and by looking at the LAPACK user guide fo...

Re: magma installation using intel compiler Version 12.0.2

Hi, you just need to add the option to force the compiler to preprocess the fortran files in the FOPTS variable in your make.inc. We didn't change all the extensions to have it automatically, but looking at the number of people having problem with that, we will probably change that in the final rele...

Re: RC5 testing_dsyevd

What can I say ? Don't run magma testings :). This is not a problem, your system is just adjusting the CPU accorded to the sensors. MAGMA testings dsyevd is an hybrid kernel using CPU and GPU, so the BLAS called on the CPU just "stress" the system and by consequence increase the temperature. Mathieu

Re: MAGMA 1.0

I added a ReleaseNotes file in the tarball to report the new changes. Here are the one since the last RC4: 1.0.0RC5 - April 6th, 2011 * Add fortran interface for lapack functions * Add new QR version on GPU ([zcsd]geqrf3_gpu) and corresponding LS solver ([zcds]geqrs3_gpu) * Add [cz]unmtr, [sd]ormtr ...

Re: RC5 testing_dsyevd

Hi,

it's not related to MAGMA. You are just stressing you CPUs when you run these testings and so, the system is adjusting the CPU clock in relation to the temperature reported by sensors.

Thanks,

I fixed it, I didn't realize the file has not been updated for the last version of MKL.

Re: Merge Magma in an existing autotools project

Hi Jerome,

Normally you have several make.inc.xxx as example that should work. But we are not using autotools in MAGMA.

Re: Magma Installation RC5

Hi,

if you are compiling with gfortran, add

Code: Select all

-x f95-cpp-input

to the FOPT variable in your make.inc. It should fix the problem.

I didn't have problem with ifort, but maybe you need also to add an option to force the precompilation.
