Hi,
are you going to release compiled binaries for mainly MacOS and Windows systems where CUDA is also supported?

If you are not consider adding support for it are you considering releasing as an open source project so still interested users can compiler for that platform?

Also I would be glad that you express your opinions about CUlapack (www.culapack.com)?

Hi have seen your roadmap and "Portability – demonstrate an easy OpenCL port" do you think can expect some release say this year?

MAGMA version 0.1 is a freely-available software package with a "modified BSD" license. We have been providing the sources upon user requests. We know that it has been ported for example on MacOS. MAGMA version 0.2 will be released by November 14, along with the sources.

We don't know much about this package - it is a recently announced commercial software package, and the name is CULA, not CUlapack (not associated with LAPACK).

Commercial software packages are allowed to include (original or modified) LAPACK, and similarly, MAGMA software. We only ask that proper credit is given to the authors.

This depends on how OpenCL evolves. For example, if OpenCL gets to include some type of standard on calling native BLAS (with machine specific optimizations; and vendors provide that native BLAS) then we will provide MAGMA port in OpenCL by the end of the year. If this doesn't happen, we can show reference OpenCL implementations of selected BLAS, and compare them with architecture native implementations (e.g. CUDA). Until performance gets to be satisfactory, it will still be of interest to port MAGMA in OpenCL, but not a priority.
