Development continues on DAGue, and the internal versions show good performance using CPUs and GPUs in a distributed cluster. I don't know when the code will be stable for a release, though.

Which functions are you most looking for in a distributed environment?

Mark

Thank you.

The most essential for us are ZGETRF and ZGETRS and the MAGMA and ParLAPACK equivalents. Our codes are in FORTRAN.

We have versions which run to solve large problems on an array of computers using ParLAPACK and would like to be able to do the same thing on a series of computers each with one or more GPGPU. The problems get so large that the matrix is too big for one computer's memory.

One possible approach (which I think I mentioned before) would be to put ParLAPACK on top of a MAGMA Lapack.

Thanks

John

P.S. I actually meant ScaLAPACK, not ParLAPACK. Sorry for the mistake.

It is some time since I last enquired about this. I would like to ask whether there is any consideration of use of Global Arrays to enable multiCPU use with MAGMA.

See http://www.emsl.pnl.gov/docs/global/

I cannot see any prior reference on this list.

I think this is a good example of the sort of question which crosses between the different projects and does not seem to get answered here at the moment.

Where can this question be asked?

Thank you
