PAPI multiplex error

Postby bkouk » Fri Jul 09, 2010 7:07 am

Hi

When i try to multiplex an eventset using PAPI_set_multiplex(EventSet) i get the following error:
ERROR -17 PAPI_ENOCMP

papi_avail gives me the following:
PAPI Version : 4.1.0.0
Vendor string and code : GenuineIntel (1)
Model string and code : Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU T4400 @ 2.20GHz (23)
CPU Revision : 10.000000
CPUID Info : Family: 6 Model: 23 Stepping: 10
CPU Megahertz : 1200.000000
CPU Clock Megahertz : 1200
Hdw Threads per core : 1
Cores per Socket : 2
CPU's per Node : 2
Total CPU's : 2
Number Hardware Counters : 5
Max Multiplex Counters : 512

Kernel is 2.6.32 with pcl support.

Is this a papi configuration error, or actually my hardware cannot support this operation?

Thanks in advance.

Multiplexing requires at least a 2.6.33 kernel
