Configuring PAPI

Postby Newport_j » Mon May 13, 2013 2:06 pm

I am trying to confgure PAPI-4.1.1. in Centos 6.4, 64 bit.

I want a configuration like this

Code: Select all
rwx------.  9 james james  4096 Apr 22 12:57 .
drwxr-xr-x. 63 james james 24576 May 10 14:49 ..
drwxr-xr-x.  2 james james  4096 Apr 22 12:57 bin
-rw-------.  1 james james 15499 Jun 21  2010 ChangeLogP410.txt
-rw-------.  1 james james 17255 Oct  1  2010 ChangeLogP411.txt
drwx------.  2 james james  4096 Oct  1  2010 doc
drwxr-xr-x.  3 james james  4096 Apr 22 12:57 include
-rw-------.  1 james james 19490 Sep 30  2010 INSTALL.txt
drwxr-xr-x.  2 james james  4096 Apr 22 12:57 lib
-rw-------.  1 james james  1890 Jan 14  2010 LICENSE.txt
drwx------.  6 james james  4096 Oct  1  2010 man
-rw-------.  1 james james 10240 Oct  1  2010 papi-4.1.1.tar
-rw-------.  1 james james  2629 Sep 30  2010 papi.spec
-rw-------.  1 james james  3068 Jun  1  2010 README
-rw-------.  1 james james 18970 Oct  1  2010 RELEASENOTES.txt
drwx------.  4 james james  4096 Apr 22 12:57 share
drwx------. 16 james james  4096 May 13 13:30 src

with bin, lib, shared and include directories. However, when I

run
./configure

with option like
--bindir=/home/James/Desktop/papi-4.1.1/bin
--libdir=/home/James/Desktop/papi-4.1.1/lib

No subdirectory(s) is created. Thus I wonder what I am doing wrong.

I also want the papi-4.1.1 main
directory to be as such:

/home/James/Desktop/papi-4.1.1/

What am i doing wwrong?

Thanks in advance.
