replacing reference BLAS with OpenBLAS

Postby Mihca2000 » Mon Jan 27, 2014 6:31 am

Hi everybody,

I´m still a newbie to the BLAS/LAPACK subject. So I´m not quite sure wether my question has been answered before.
Anyhow, my question is as follows:
How do I replace the reference BLAS with OpenBLAS?

Historie:
I successfully followed the instructions on how to
Build Instructions to create LAPACK and LAPACKE 3.5.0 dlls for Windows with MinGW
on your page https://icl.cs.utk.edu/lapack-for-windows/lapack/

The first tests showed that the BLAS routines of the reference BLAS are very slow in comparison to the MATLAB C++ library currently used.
We work on DELL Latitude E6400 notebooks.

Tests with a precompiled OpenBLAS DLL showed far better results.

So my aim now is to replace the reference BLAS with OpenBLAS in
Build Instructions to create LAPACK and LAPACKE 3.5.0 dlls for Windows with MinGW

Does anybody know how to do that? Is there an step by step description available?

Thanks in advance
Mihca
